Any Player or coach who receives a game misconduct will be ejected from the game in which the infraction occurs as well as the following game. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. NIHC reserves the rights to review all cases involving major penalties, Match penalties, game misconducts, and gross misconducts. NIHC Hockey Reserves the right to magnify punishments of any reviewed penalty.
Additional Rules:
1, Any player receiving a total of 6 minutes in one game will be ejected from the game, plus the following game.
2. No Checking
3.Equipment: USA Hockey or CAHA Approved helmets are required for all players. Facemasks and Neckguards are recommended. Visors are Mandatory if not wearing a cage mask.
4. Fighting: any player who receives a major for fighting will be ejected from the remainder of the tournament
5. Home team should always wear Dark, unless specified in advance
Regulations
· One-time out per team is allowed during regulation play. No Timeouts in Overtime
· Players may not leave the penalty box between periods
· Delayed Offside- In the event of a delayed offside players may clear the zone and become forcheckers again. “The zone has to be cleared for one Instance”
· In the event of coincidental minor penalties, both teams will play full strength.
· Teams should be ready at least 15 min prior to a match
· If a player loses ANY of his equipment including broken sticks they must immediately go his respective bench. Failure to do will result in a penalty.
· Teams who fail to show for a game will result in League elimination
· In the event of a 6 -goal Differential at any time the game will enter “Fair Play Rules” the match can never increase to more than a 6goal differential- If it occurs in the third period the game moves to running clock.
OVERTIME In PLAYOFFS
Ø All overtime periods are Two-minute running time sudden death periods
Ø Teams may change players on the fly. NO Subs will be allowed at the whistle
Ø Any penalties remaining at the end of regulation will be carried over into the subsequent overtime period.
Ø Penalties during overtime will result in a penalty shot instead of time in the box. Only a player on the ice at the time of the penalty may take a penalty shot.
Ø Teams will commence the first overtime period by playing four-on-four. If neither team scores by the end of the two-minute period, the teams will commence the second overtime period by playing three on three.
